Kevin Henry Jr
Hey, my name is Kevin. I’m a junior at the Uconn Hartford campus. My major is marketing management. I first stumbled into the AAC the first week of my first semester of my freshman year. I went there because I needed help on how to take notes for my science class. After that, I continued to go back throughout the semester. I went for academic help, but I stayed for the close-knit community. After my first two semesters, I was presented with the opportunity to become a Uconn Connects mentor. After being a mentor, I discovered that I like helping people find the path to academic success, so I was presented with the opportunity to become an AAC coach. I think this position will help me further develop my leadership and communication skills. I’m excited to be an AAC coach, and I’m ready for all the adventures that come with it. I am highly involved on the Hartford campus. On top of being part of the AAC team, I am the president of the Afro Scholar Association at the Hartford campus, and I’m part of the Undergraduate Student Government as well. I go out of my way to make the campus a welcoming environment for everyone.
